This photo really catches the eye. Great composition. I really like how the face takes up most of the portrait. The white hood encasing the wrinkled, weathered skin makes the man look all the more interesting. Great job!

Great shot, I can't believe you only got one comment so far! How do you get people like this to pose? Was it candid, studio, natural light ???

 

Love the eyes, you can just stare into them. The only thing I'm not sure about is the light, low contrast hood - almost makes his face look like it's floating in space. I'd try a version with the hood darkened, maybe almost fading to black, just to see how it looks.
