jayme 0 Posted October 13, 2006 I love how the lighting captures the folds of the dress. I really love the way she is looking directly at you. The back light separates her wonderfully from the background :) Truly a wonderful capture. I was so captured by the beauty, I couldn't help but play with this in PS. I hope you don't mind. This would make a beautiful painting :) Here's the results of my play. I warmed the image a little, I cropped & added a little to the left (personal preference) & cloned in a matching catch light in the eye on the left. Not better, just a variation. Again, I hope you don't mind, I find this extremely beautiful :) Link to comment
derek moore 0 Posted October 14, 2006 Many thanks for your interest and comments. Jayme, thanks for taking the time and trouble to show me your interpretation of the image, although on my monitor it looks too dark and over saturated. I think maybe, that my screen may need recalibrating. Regards, Derek. Link to comment
lavi 0 Posted November 2, 2006 Lovely portrait, beautiful colors, textures and composition. I like Jayme's version too. You have many lovely images, but this IMHO is a real eye catcher. I don't think it's too dark - I think it's just right, makes it look like a painting. Link to comment
cherlyn 1 Posted November 20, 2006 Such a beautiful portrait of this lady in Velvet gown. Reminds me of olden times when one hangs family portraits on the wall above the fireplace or in the sitting room. This has some a oil painting effect. Very very lovely. Link to comment

deniselanterman 0 Posted October 25, 2009 Derek, a beautiful artistic portrait. Her look, the luxurious colors- it's like an Old Master painting that I expect to see in a gallery. Best Regards. Denise Link to comment
