This is very artistic looking which makes me wonder how you did it (that sounded a bit sarcastic which was not my intention). I really am curious to know what's up with this image. It just dawned on me (while I was thinking about how clever I am) that this looks like one of those images that you are supposed to look at with 3-D glasses. It also occurred to me that this could be an example of the worlds worst case of chromatic lens abberation (let's hope not).

The crop looks a bit off center which might just be me. I would take a sliver off the left to match it to the right side but I think people who are not left handed may disagree. Also along the lines of useless suggestions, what if you flipped it horizontally? OK, hopefully that is the end of the inane content of my comments (dream on).

I am always impressed when your uploaded images take a 90 degree turn from your previous contribution. You have great depth and range that way, or something artsy like that. I'm impressed is what I meant to say. ;-)

Where is the water in this shot? It's like a dry oasis. Perhaps you can share your thinking about why this should be a part of the exhibit. Is there something you are trying to convey to the viewer that corresponds to the other images in the show? Something that interests me is the fact that when I look at an image, a world of other associations is opened up. Apparently people born after me don't have that experience or anything like it. It is almost as though they don't know the trick of converting a two dimensional image into a perception of something real. They do however seem to like saturated colors that resemble a strong pitcher of Kool Aid. Yes, Kool Aid and 3D glasses, That's what this makes me think of. It's a winner!

Seriously (hopefully) for me at least I would take notice of just about anything you presented and try my best to understand what it was about that image that made you want to create it and then present it to a wider audience. Photography should reflect your own personality and ideas and not just mass produce pretty pictures for ten second consumption by an undecerning mob.

Aside from the technical quality and broad subject range, the thing that makes your photography worthwhile is the fact that you created it in your own unique style. Feedback is great but you are the only person that can answer the question of what you want to communicate with the images you display. Everyone will give you conflicting advice based on their views and personality which is not what you are after. It seems like most people would rather talk about themselves than listen to anyone else.

I like the photograph and I would love to see the print in person. Good luck with the show.

I like this one, but decided it didn't fit in with the small group of prints that I submitted yesterday. The three-man jury will pick ten people out of thirty four for solo shows in '07-'08.

They're also supposed to give you some sort of critque of your project, so I'll have plenty to say mid-week when I pick up my prints, find out the results, and read their evaluation.

Well I wasn't one of the chosen, but forgot that the written reviews won't be mailed for another week or so.

I can hardly wait.

Where have you been hanging out at for the last two days? It is too bad that you were not one of the "chosen" but then those things are sometimes more driven by friendships and politics than common sense and appreciation for the fine points of an image.

I have not shopped around for any more places to display photos. I have a half dozen images at an interior design/retail shop right now but no nibbles in the last four or five weeks. The gallery where I had my exhibit wants to display my photos but nothing much came out of that situation the last time. Where to be seen or whether to be seen, which is it?

The feedback at photo.net seems to have dried up like an old worn out sponge. Many of the top tier photographers seem to have left the building. Is it the end of an era or the beginning of a new epoc? In additiona to that the weather is bad here today. ;-(
