indranilsircar 0 Posted October 9, 2006 The swan seems determined in its journey against the rushing water with the backdrop of black water and the rocks providing a sense of resistance and difficult path ahead. Excellent and unique capture. Best Regards. Link to comment
adolfovalente 0 Posted October 9, 2006 A great and powerful capture! I like very much the tones and the contrast between the swan and the dark rock is amazing Link to comment
blackdogstudio 1 Posted October 9, 2006 My dear friend, this is among the most magnificent nature photographs that I have been previledged to see. The composition is really special, reminding me of a 15th-Century ship with white sails in great peril of being tossed unto the rocks or being swallowed up by the mighty deep. The textures and image depth support this analogy so well. The tones are really someting special and perfect for this composition - a dark grey sea and black rocks. Richard, it has been an honour to view this photograph. Congrats. Regards, Kelvin. Link to comment

watermark_of_merni 14 Posted October 9, 2006 Beautiful work Richard! I most like seeing the force of the water and color, as it surrounds the graceful curve of the swan's neck. Link to comment

davidorea 1 Posted October 9, 2006 Superb scene, Richard. Beautiful composition with excellent shapes, balance, colors and light. Perfect speed for this capture. Like a painting! Best regards! Link to comment
thinhnguyen 0 Posted October 9, 2006 Beautiful image ! Perfect diagonal composition. I love the ratio between light & dark, the different between White Swan (symbolize something lovely, soft, gentle...) and Black Rocks, Wave (represent something hard, strong, cruel...). My best regards. Link to comment
ada-ipenburg 0 Posted October 9, 2006 Strange way of thinking perhaps, but the water in combination with the graceful shape of the swan reminds me of the beauty of Glass Art. It's a wonderful moment you've catched Richard and so different from what in general we are used to see related to swans. In most pictures we see them float on a calm, blue water surface. Real unusual and beautiful captured fragility! Warm greetings, Ada;-) Link to comment
