Wasn't an easy shot to frame, as it was coming over my head at the

time at about 350+mph hence I lost the port wing. Cropped it to

portrait to try and make something of it. Comments welcome.

awesome. I love this as a portrait and the fact that the whole plane is not included - keeps the focus on the plane and not the sky around it. Another unique angle and picture which really makes it come to life i think.

I can certainly appreciate the difficulty of "taming" this shot at live speeds! Obviously, I think it would have been stronger with both wings fully present - but because of the unusual angle, the immidiate nature of the shot, position of the plane - just the whole "here it comes!" feeling of it, overall I would still count it a success. Good job selecting the crop in such a way that the distraction of a missing wingtip is minimal.

The framing still bothers me on this one and I think I might like it better if the bottom was trimmed off just behind the tail, so that about the same amountof each wing is chopped off. Then it would look like you zoomed way in on purpose. That probably wouldn't leave you with enough resolution to make much of a print, but hey, this is the internet, no one has to know.
