I can't keep this to myself any longer: I'm in deep deep envy every time I take a look here (several times)Great controle of the light ... and fog too .... in a matter of fact of every thing I think.

Wow, Bente, I'm flattered. Thank you!

I'm building a fog chiller to cool the mist so it will be ground-hugging the way dry ice behaves (instead of dispersing upwards quickly) which should result in a very different mood - if I ever get around to finishing it.

I'm speechless Michael!!! This is fabulous. You have visible spend lots of time and enegergy to come to the final result. But your efforts have paid themselves back in an amazing result! Congratulations Michael and Happy Halloween! Many greetings, Ada:-)

This is sufficiently scary, I'm spooked! Are you going to scare the bejesus out of the little children on Holloween night? BTW, enjoyed reading "the making of it". It's fun to know how stuff is done but it does take the mystery out of it.

Happy Holloween to you! Kim

Thanks Ada and Zacarias! Ada, maybe I should add a little IR, huh?

Kim, I'll be trick'n with my shooting buddy on Halloween and hopefully catch a few nice pictures. Yeah, giving it away does demystify it, doesn't it? Maybe next time I'll go for private communications for those who care to know.

Tough picture, it would seem. Not my kind of stuff - too "scary" for me :-) -, but admittedly, you got my attention. My problem with this image as I see it on my monitor is that I find it difficult to "link" the left side with the smokey area. The fact that some details are missing in the darker areas leaves me a bit unsettled - i.e. I can't really understand/identify (visually speaking) the space in which this takes place. Best regards.

Michael, this is pretty scary...I'll be sure to NOT show this one to my 4 year old :-) It definitely has a edgy movie like feel...reminds me of a scene from the movie "The Black Cauldron". I'm not sure if it is my imagination or what, but there appears to be a black rose just to the right of the center creep...cool touch. By the way, thanks for stopping by to look at my portfolio and for your kind words on my "balance beam" shot...you are right about the tracks and the memories. Thanks. Jeff.

Michael, I know you did this quite a long time ago, but it was very instructive and fascinating to me.  Particularly seeing the actual setup you had versus how the photo came out.  The image is quite fantastical, almost like fantasy Photoshop construct.  Nicely done, I think.
