olafdevries 0 Posted October 17, 2006 I do like Sam's comment, for it's your both vision Debasish. But only because of the sharing, it's making the whole issue of this site interesting.. If it was mine (I wouldn't crop for I would have shot in a different way..) I would crop the top one cm. Or.. just crop untill the first colom on the left. Debasish.., ask that guy too! :) Regards! dchatter 0 Posted October 18, 2006 Sam I'm glad you like it. Olaf, it's very true that I've not followed any golden section rules here, which would have been very easy---I had all the time in the world to compose properly. Indeed, this is what I saw leaning against the wall on the right, so I presented it as is; a little uncomfortable, a little brutal perhaps, but truthful all the same :-) Best regards to both of you. olafdevries 0 Posted October 18, 2006 I am standing there too now. I can't show how my photo would be.., I'm taller.. haha! Thank's for your, every time again, personal speaking Debasish! Link to comment
DrewBayless 3 Posted November 14, 2006 Stark, moody and atmospheric- just how I like 'em! The distant figure does indeed create a sense of loneliness - especially as they are wallking away. I like the composition with the dark inverted 'L' and diagonal of the railings pointing out the figure. I like also how you've got really close to the wall. That extra detail seems to impart a cold hard feel. Nice contrast of light/dark, interesting forms, but also the feeling and mood created. Verrrry good! Regards, Drew. Link to comment
