first of all...I really enjoy the image...moody..because of the closeed gate ( usually this means stay out) the lead in dark,- it adds to the mystery...and in contrast the bright happy upper part of the image...maybe when the gate is open there will be joy..

anyways...traditionally IR images are presented as monotone images...so this is kinda cool Ada !

Dear Paula, many often I feel like I'm in the dark when I start something completely new. And IR is such a thing. Until recently I had no idea what IR photography exactly involved, though I was fascinated by the surrealistic results of the IR technique. I?m lucky that I met Tony. He has helped me a lot before I was ready to skate on thin ice (that's how I feel). All these positive comments form a great support to continue. Thank you Paula for your appreciation!

Hoi Bianca;-))) Hemelpoort! Hahaha....leuk. Hoe kom je er op?! Maar wie weet. Ik zie alleen helemaal geen Petrus, maar het zal me niks verbazen als hij nog eens zomaar uit de struiken te voorschijn komt schieten. Ik twijfel er eerlijk gezegd ook wel een beetje aan of hij me wel binnen zal laten en vandaar dat ik maar vast ben begonnen om mijn eigen hemeltje in PS te creeren. Het is trouwens wel even wennen hoor met dat Ifrarood gedoe. Het maken van de foto's is al een hele ervaring op zich. Je ziet af en toe bijna niet wat je nou eigenlijk fotografeert, zo donker. En de foto's vragen ook een hele andere bewerking dan 'normale' foto's. Al met al een heel geexperimenteer dus. Ik ben er (hoe gefascineerd ik er ook door ben) dan ook nog niet helemaal uit of dit nu echt wel mijn ding is. Dat zal de tijd moeten uitwijzen. Tot nu toe ben ik zelf niet ontevreden over de resultaten en dat is toch waar het om gaat, niet dan? Daarvoor offeren wij zelfs onze kostbare nachtrust op. Ja.... verslaafd mogen wij onszelf wel noemen. Gezond verslaafd! He, groetjes Bianca en nog bedankt voor de prachtige vergelijking;-))))

Hi Cherlyn, I have seen your IR pictures. And I remember one of a very nice bridge, am I right? I'm curious to hear your experiences with IR because I have the experience that it is very special and not always very easy way of taking pictures. Thanks anyway for your kind comment. I knew that you would like the soft mood;-)

Hey there Detlef, nice to meet you here in front of the 'Heavenly gate' as Bianca suggested;0). I agree with you that in common closed gate's doesn't augur well. But in this case that is not on. Believe me Detlef, the party is in full swing behind that gate. All colours are represented. And mind well, it's me who direct the play in here and that is why it looks so colourful. I'm not such a fan of b&w photography. So that is why I'm happy that you like coloured IR Detlef. 'Cool' you says. I love to hear that from your mouth.
