bleedingashes 0 Posted October 20, 2006 Beautiful heron, great light. Those blues are hard to take. Congratulations. Link to comment
corkman 0 Posted October 20, 2006 Thanks for the kind words. Yes, blues are easily spooked and almost impossible to sneak up on. Got this one by being there first, and staying inhumanly still til I got the right poses. Always check out people who take the trouble to comment on my humble efforts. I am a writer, and was impressed by yours, especially one line I really love, but felt compelled to meddle and suggest that it would be a lot more powerful if it were shortened to: "Humanity shatters idealism, nature restores it." This line, in it's pure simplicity, inspires thought. It's a lot like cropping a photo, or peeling a banana, in search of inner beauty in it's purest, unfettered form. Link to comment
bleedingashes 0 Posted October 20, 2006 Thank you for your comment, I reread my thread and I agree with you. I forgot to write in my comment how well you capture that grace that only the patience of the heron can describe ( aided by your own patience). Presenting the true soul of an animal and telling the story of his mind is hard to do, is not just a snapshot, and you achieved it wonderfully. Link to comment
