I didn't make it to Whittier when I was in Alaska. So much state, so little time. :-) I love the fog rolling in from the left, but not so as to obscure the harbor house. Wonderful!

I had seen a photo hanging above a cash register in Juneau or Ketchikan and asked the store owner where this was. He told me that it was in Whittier but did not say where. Boating into Whittier, there was the house right in front of me and thank heavens I had my trusty D70 with me. I ran off a few shots of this scene but I think this one is the best. Fate? Destiny? Who knows about these things!

Hi Tony, this is very nice, I like the brown cast from the warm light of the sunrise and the vanishing village in the fog.

Well composed and good space around the pier and the main house.
