Ashame the focal point is not on the front part of the car.

I agree with previous comment.Although you picked out the correct place to be, Exposure isn't too bad.

 

if you panned it a little more/quicker and maybe rotated the camera a slight bit anti-clockwise I think you'd have it nailed.

 

P.S. I know hoe difficult panning is and especially close to a subject with a shortish lens.

I think it's a great catch. As to focus point- scanning from top left around the outside to lower right, I don't really see any other point that appears to more focused than the car- it looks to me like a little bit of camera movement combined with the car movement.
