lalit 0 Posted September 28, 2006 It was a dream to visit this place. Especially looking at variousbeautiful pictures by fellow photographers, I decided to make a tripto Canon Beach from Vancouver, Washington that I was visitng in February. The weather forecast during the week changed from heavy rain toshowers, to drizzle to cloudy, to windy. By the time I reached thebeach, It was windy, but a very clear and bright sunny day.Disappointment at first... but brought some determination to find aninteresting composition of the heavily photographed scene. However Inoticed the setting ultra-bright Sun could be blocked behind the rock, and still obtain the orange yellow-colors. Quickly composing thescene. I took various shots, as the Sun went below horizon. I carriedonly 24-70 lens, that put many constraints too. Especially putting thehorizon somewhat at the center. However that also helped to compose tokeep the eyes mostly at the Needles and the Sun.I call this picture "Farewell", because I feel the parting mood. The"Needles" are saying goodbyes to the Sun. The intensity of parting isbrought by the yellow and organge colors. The sombre mood is broughtby the small and rather soft waves of Ocean. The waves are alsoretreating inside the Ocean, accentuating the feelings of going away. Link to comment

lalit 0 Posted October 4, 2006 Thanx Pawel, Umair and Julio for taking time to comment on the photo. Julio I don't understand Spanish (?), but some common English words and rating gave me an idea of what you were saying. Thank you very much again! Regards+Lalit Link to comment
