vernon_warrell 0 Posted September 27, 2006 It's a very soothing image as is and I like how the piece of wood in the foreground follows the flow of the water. Just a few suggestions. I assume you used a tripod for a slow shutter speed while keeping the detail around the water nice and sharp. Regarding this, I think you could play with the controls just a bit, use a lower ISO setting, to help improve the soothing feeling by removing some of the graininess. It's not bad as is and perhaps the result of saving for web but it's noticeable. Composition wise I think it's great and I like the speck of green leaf in the upper left corner. Maybe just a wee bit more would help it stand out, but not too much as to detract. I also think that it could be warmed up a little bit with some color saturation to contribute to that soothing feeling I've mentioned. If you go back to the same spot to try to improve the image "naturally" (without Photoshop) I would definitely try to keep the same shutter speed or something close to it. Those water lines just off the center of the frame are really nice. Cheers. Link to comment
