very pleasing color of the fruit contrasting the rather muted/neutral street and buildings. well framed with a good control of hightlights and shadows. i like it. J.K.

it's a popular motif, but you gave the picture a special depth, due to your angle and the tripartition: with the focus of the fruits and their strong colors (1/3) against the desaturated (1/3) or dark street (1/3). it's also a special market picture because the street is nearly empty.

solo per precisione: questo non e' il mercato di bologna. si tratta di una delle vie dei mestieri della zona adiacente a piazza maggiore dove tradizionalmente pescatori, orefici, fruttivendoli, calzolai vendevano le loro mercanzie. ora ci sono molti negozietti come quello che hai fotografato, ma non lo chiamerei mercato, anche perche' pensando al "mercato di bologna" la prima cosa che viene in mente e' la "piazzola", il mercato che venerdi' e sabato occupa piazza 8 agosto.
