lalit 0 Posted November 30, 2006 I was blessed with (?) no clouds this morning. These Sawtoothmountains lie west of the taller White Clouds (above 11000) ftmountains. So it takes little long for the Sun to reach here with itsrays. This is though an amazingly beautiful place in Idaho, with almostalways reflection except the windy days. This is taken with 16-35 lens, but anything from 16 to 300 mm couldbring different posibility of photograph e.g. Check out my otherpicture http://www.photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=5170044&size=lg">"WaterOn Fire" taken moments later I took this shot, with the 300 mm lens. gdanmitchell 0 Posted November 30, 2006 Sorry that you got that first negative comment. It happens at photo.net... This is a very nice scene and your arrangement of the elements seems quite effective. The highlight of the peak at the top and off-center to the left is balanced by the rock at lower right and by the expanse of water below the middle of the image. I'm not certain about this, but I feel like you might be able to open things up a bit - perhaps lighten the sunlit peak just a bit and make some adjustments (levels or curves) on the shaded area of the mountains. It might also work to lighten the water a bit, at least in the central section where the reflection is brightest - being careful not to overdo it and make the reflection brighter than the sky. I'm not saying that these ideas would necessarily make for a better image - they are just a few techniques I might try on a photograph like this one. Take care, Dan Link to comment
