paperfenix 0 Posted September 25, 2006 Hi Fabian, thanks for your comments : The dancer shows a part of an ancient cultura as Mexico has over all in the center of the city, a mean in the principal square some centuries ago. Nowadays dancers play a performances from associations or several groups but they represent the misticism of our ancient people of that time. I think urban culture affect directly on some customs and traditions because of global finances and many others circunstances about politic, music, social advantange etc, etc...But Mexico has an immense wealth in culture tradition culture music and beautiful arts around the world. Well what can I say je,je,je,je after all is my country but realy, culture in this beatiful country is extremnely interesting as I?m sure you get notice of it ... ? Do you Know Aztecs, Mayas, Olmecas or Teotihuacan ? Thanks again and I hope we still visit to each other by our Portfolios I send you my best regards. Link to comment
mike_perkins1 0 Posted September 26, 2006 Thanks for your comments on my fire/somewhat self portraits. I don't really know what you meant by your question about if I could do the fire work myself...but I'll give it a shot and say that ya I am behind the fire, and yes I am holding flamming materials in my hands as the shot was taken and they are all unmanipulated. Now to this photo here, I think that it is very cool I like how both the flame and the statue appear to be in focus. Very Impressive, keep up the good work. Link to comment

tm_photography 0 Posted October 1, 2006 I might not have noticed that had you not asked me to look for it, but yeah I see the fire could be phallic with the two black half spheres below to give the impression of a complete set of genitalia. Unfortunately if you study lit crit of film crit, you end up seeing symbols and and particularly the phallus everywhere. Nice shot. Link to comment
