Calming Ripples

Do the ripples add an interest to this photograph or would smooth

water be more effective? In an effort to continually improve my

Great shot love the colours and composition, regarding your question I think it would work both ways with the ripples and with smooth water with a longer exposure too.......I think it might be more satisfying for you to do it the other way too.

In the end its a matter of choice.

Without wishing to sound as if I'm sitting on the fence, I'm in the "both ways" camp. The ripples add a special element to this scene, but I'm sure that a motionless surface would work just as well. The light is gorgeous, especially where it reflects of the limb. I love it.
