robertbrown 1 Posted September 25, 2006 Please compare to the b&w version in this portfolio. Thanks. Link to comment
nathan_ross 0 Posted September 25, 2006 Both are good, but the orange is really striking and I think that it gives this version the edge. Link to comment
afs760bf 0 Posted September 25, 2006 Hi, Robert, Very nice, simplistic, image. I like the color one, also because of the orange. Good composition. Best, Barry Link to comment
kentb2 0 Posted September 25, 2006 I of course will side with the color. I don't mean to imply I would always do so as I actually am a big fan of the B&W but in this instance the orange plays a unique and key role that is lost with B&W. (for me anyway) Link to comment
lightwait 0 Posted September 25, 2006 Orange in and of itself is not an aesthetic principle. This is largely a 1/3 orange balancing 2/3 blue (1/3 shade balancing 2/3 tint) roughly, tied together losely with the light poles. interesting image Link to comment
robertbrown 1 Posted September 29, 2006 Nathan, Kent, Barry, and Tom, thanks for your comments. I also prefer the color version (I'm usually partial to b&w). Funny how the ratings are so much higher for the b&w one! Link to comment
