roger___3 0 Posted September 25, 2006 Photo is taken on the approach to two of Colorado's 14000 footers. The yellow flowers are commonly called "Old Man and the Mountain", a name I've always liked and often felt like. Link to comment
stephen hazelton 3 Posted September 25, 2006 An excellent shot- I like the combination of foreground flowers and background mountains- hard to get tired of that. As to the "old man and the mountains"- I once went up Greys and Torreys Peaks- and a man and a boy passed me. Seems like the boy was 11 or 12. I started up the Longs Peak trail once, had a fat lady pass me that wasn't even breathing hard. Huffed and puffed my way to the top of Round Mountain (between Loveland and Estes Park) and found a bunch of old white-haired folks that looked like they were right out of the nursing home. You learn humility in a hurry up there. Link to comment

daverave 1 Posted September 27, 2006 I like the way all of the elements flow around the photo, flower down rocks, up stream to mountain range and back to flower. Dramatic cloud cover never hurts either. Technically flawless. Link to comment
