Ian Taylor 28 Posted September 24, 2006 Great great shot. The detail throughout is amazing.I don't think it needs the KODACHROME ad though. Link to comment
DB_Gallery 87 Posted September 25, 2006 This is the start of a very important tribute for me. This is it. One day, the most important color medium of the 20th century will be gone...that day is coming soon. I will grow old, gleefully satisfied that I gave it my best shot and leave you all with this. This is no ad. This is history and I *will* leave a mark in it....... . . . . . Link to comment
seandepuydt 2 Posted September 25, 2006 Daniel, this is a very good image, the colors are very subtle and nice. How does Kodachrome scan? I've considered getting a few rolls since you first announced your project. Also, how does Kodachrome handle long exposures? Keep them coming - Sean Link to comment
Ian Taylor 28 Posted September 25, 2006 This is history and I *will* leave a mark in it....... . . . Uhh..OK. I wasn't really remarking on your place in Photographic History, I just think the frame detracts from a nice image. Link to comment
DB_Gallery 87 Posted September 25, 2006 I suppose it does, but it is supposed to promote the project, I thought it would be fun to put one around it. Cheers, db Link to comment
ceebee 0 Posted November 10, 2006 Ahh .. Naturalistic colours, almost grain free.. we REALLy need to lose anything that good !!! maybe that was the conversation in the board room. Just got my latest KC 64 roll back and I still get a buzz out of them on the light box.Only snag I can see is with the scanning question - it can be a pig !!! Keep them coming, Chris Benton Link to comment
mesullivan 0 Posted January 12, 2007 I had given up on Kodachrome because it was so difficult to scan even though I love it. Then I purchased a Nikon coolscan ED and it scans it very well. I have started shooting it again and then I find this. What is the Kodachrome Project? Link to comment
asher 0 Posted January 31, 2007 Nice light and composition. I think this is one of your best shots (so far!). Link to comment
DB_Gallery 87 Posted February 2, 2007 Thanks Asher, others. I just hope I can continue to post here, it is getting a little weird lately. Besides, I think I need to break from the whole internet thing get real with this project, time is a marching.... Link to comment
