Beautiful composition.

Superb composition. Clear-cut stylistic elements, strong contrast and colors, very emotive, atmospheric. I thought about a different aspect ratio with a crop from the right side. I know, you lose the decent diagonal then. But you get an even more stringent division, and set the guardians more off-center. Just an idea

I agree with Carsten's crop suggestion. Maybe a little less from the right, but it does strengthen the photo. Some additional sharpening would also enhance the presentation on the web. I'm looking at the large version and the trees appear almost blurred, but when sharpened they clearly are not.
