lalit 0 Posted October 9, 2006 Late spring/early summer is the perfect time to spot these beautifullittle Yellow headed blackbirds in Idaho. This picture is taken withcomparatively inexpensive 75-300mm Canon lens, at 300 mm. These birdswere very fearless and did let me take pictures for very long. Theywould take turns and sit on this branch frequently. It was fairly easyto just set the position and just take multiple shots. Early eveninglight made it worthwhile to shoot.This guy was just involved in probably showing off to females aroundor may be cleaning himself off? I am not sure...but he did give mevarious poses. I loved the triangular stems of the plants and thetriangular shape of the tail, as well as the bird himself, as heopened the wings. Link to comment
