Hi Nina!

I wanted to say to you that M 97 is a planetary nebula in Ursa Major that can't show up in your photo being too faint. For an interesting effect try exposing for 30 minutes around the pole star (do you have light pollution?). See what you get :)

Best wishes!

Good shot of the Ursa Maior... i wish we could have such a nocturnal bright sky here in italy where i live. Too many lights around and not easy to see clearly the stars. Well done!!

Thanks for all the comments and suggestions. Tudorica, this photo was intentionaly made this way. I usualy take thirty-minut exposure, but I think in this case there would be too many stars on the photo. But now I got exactly what I wanted. Yes, we do have light pollution. Here in the town where I live I can't go out watching the stars, but there are some black spots in Slovenia. This was taken in the mountains and the only light was coming from a reflector in front of the cottage. : )

And, Manuel, try to take a photo of a light pollution. That is also interesting. ; )
