drfl 0 Posted September 19, 2006 Does the lightning make this photo pop or is it too little? In an effort to continually improve my photography I welcome any comments. Thank You. Link to comment
will king 0 Posted September 19, 2006 The lightning adds that element of awe to an already nice photo. As usual, great shot Derrald. Link to comment
sunapeephoto 0 Posted September 19, 2006 Very nice shot. Purely my opinion, but I would like the sky to be a bit darker. I might also try some cropping to see whether or not a more dramatic effect could be created. Maybe take some from the top so we don't see where the lightning originates and maybe some from the left where the buildings are not as interesting. As is it is still far better than I could manage. asr 0 Posted September 19, 2006 Ahem. I think I pretty much agree with what John says, not much to add. Well thought though, I must say. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted September 21, 2006 I agree about going a little bit darker. It looks like most of the lighting is high pressure sodium which always puts a pink/orange cast in the sky. I would also be inclined to experiment with the color temperature or hue and shift towards the blue end of the spectrum.http://www.iowapix.com/main_page/landscapes/lscape_page19/lscape_page19_view.htm Link to comment
