my 0 Posted September 19, 2006 I like everything in this shot. Composition and lighting are perfect, the detail on the trees extraordinary, and the gorgeous sky presiding over the tombstones promising some serene beauty on what lies ahead. How did you come up with the idea for this picture? fhmillard 0 Posted September 19, 2006 I was in a Cemetary during my monthly visits to Atlanta and the Southeastern US. This was taken at Westview Cemetary, Atlanta, GA, which has some of the most striking landscapes. Link to comment
carsten_ranke 0 Posted September 26, 2006 Looks like HDR work, from 5 shots as indicated in the tech info. I like the idea, but the foreground is too much on the bright side for me. Not that it feels unnatural, its good work, but the B&W and toning insinuate moon-light-over-cemetary and I would love the foreground more mysterious, enigmatic. And I would crop 20% from the right, if it were mine Link to comment
fhmillard 0 Posted September 28, 2006 Carsten and Amilcar,I just posted some stuff using photoshop cs2 hdr. The local adaptation feature allows curve manipulation and pixel radius, which gives decent results. Photamtix's algorithms must use a very high radius that is seen when the sky is clear and is constrated with objects like landscapes. Link to comment
