bob bennett 0 Posted September 16, 2006 John VanSwearingen IV was my earliest influence. He was the most prolific cave photographer I've ever heard of. For years, and maybe decades, he spent all of his weekends underground, camera in hand. He was a master at convincing others to help carry all the gear. He shot film exclusively, and so I'm unable to show his work. His voluminous collection has been entrusted to the National Speological Society. It is waiting there for me. When I get the time and resources, I hope to do high res scans of his legacy. Like all creative geniuses, JV was, to say the least, odd. In truth, he was a weird little asshole. But I loved him, just the same. Peace, Bob Bennett Gypsy Moon Photography Link to comment

J. Perez 0 Posted September 18, 2006 What can one say about this photo that hasn't already been said? Nothing except that there are not enough superlatives in the English language for this picture. Cheers, J Link to comment

bob bennett 0 Posted September 22, 2006 This is not a photoshop creation. We accidentally left a small bag of cloth in view, and I cloned it out. There was one small, distracting rock at the bottom of the frame and I also cloned that out. Nothing was added. I took another shot that day. You can see it in here: http://www.photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=4708909 A portrait of the model is here: http://www.photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=4708936&size=lg Peace, Bob Link to comment
