Almost good... Just the wing is not wouching this darker element... good reflection, but a picture taken few moments before would be better.

Pawel - I did not have much time for composition, I would also prefer to have the reflection fully contained by the frame.

Thank you for visiting.

I think that you have a way with birds Seven, I like your work with them, even it is a tricky subject. I prefer your way of building compositions with them. I like the ellements here aside from that dark blue square that distract from seeing the end of the bird's wings in full. I like the lined BG, again the touch of human " barriers" vs. the freedom of the bird. Beautiful catch in flight of bird in a human surrounding. nice ripples in the water as well as birds reflection and the diagoanl darker part that brings a bit of tension to the horizontal and upright lines( also a leading line to the bird). I tryed to elliminate that square , I upload it as an example, let me know what you think?

Hi Pnina -

The reflection of the square sign did not bother me too much before I saw your suggestion. You are good with the cloning tool, I must remember this for the future when I need to remove an unwanted element!

The touch to the left is from where the gull launched itself into the air so you can realise how little time there was to aim, focus and shoot; no space for composing unfortunately. Thanks for your words.

This would have been so much better had you cloned out the bird..or wait just shot it after the bird left the frame. Is this the pool from before? Ack! what's in the water that a gull is there? Is that a gull?

In all seriousness, colors are pleasant, the reflection of the fence/railing sweet as well as the drops of water. The bird just ruins it for me. I'd rather not have it or have it up further in the rhs of the frame ;)

I'm off to learn some french so I can torment a french canadian about his birds also.

Mm, why did I not think about cloning out the bird - and its reflection. Have you ever thought about seeing someone about this phobia of birds; I mean, it was clearly a bad experience from which you require swift liberation, visiting the French-Canadian might be quite confrontational but you could try it.

I would like it (gull, yes - same pool, yes : reason - probably they heard I was in town)farther right in the frame as well but I would want it in the frame and so too the reflection....otherwise people would think I was one of these guys who tossed stones into the water to obtain a splash and concentric ripples.

I find your comment educat*****, especially as regards humankind's estrangement from Nature, and doubt very much it will be cens****

Hey Seven, I see you trained birds to throw stones in water to get circles. Nice way to duplicate my original idea!

Knicki, so you can come and visit me soon here on PT, I removed all but one bird photo! You will then be able to resume your little visits to the place of this French Canadian!

It's just that currently, I'm having fun spending my time stuck on the highway, dodging falling overpass! No more time for photo. Heck, I will miss the whole Fall season.
