lukedavis 0 Posted September 16, 2006 I'll be honest with you, my friend, but this is rather tasteless, to say the least. Link to comment
alan_willis3 0 Posted September 16, 2006 sorry to say it, but it looks a bit too much like it should be posted on some college girl anonymous cite, rather than photo net. What exactly were you going for here? A sense of anonymousness? ok... she's anonymous but that can be done in intiguing ways that really say something to the view. I just don't get that here (of course, it's an opinion and, no doubt, some people feel that way about my photos as well). To me, this one just looks cheap. Link to comment
salvatoresaitta 0 Posted September 16, 2006 Flash, light, background (I see a bottle and a phone, disorder in any case) makes this photo ideal to put them in waste-paper basket Link to comment
bertrandsoula 0 Posted September 16, 2006 It could be interresting, but not from a photographic viewpoint... and this is the aim of this site do you know? Link to comment
jaycobar-chay 0 Posted September 16, 2006 I think this is a momento, or trophy, from an interesting night this person had. There is another image in his portolio taken in the same location and taken very near the same time I'm sure, and that image shows another woman on the bed in a similar state of undress. Although women are beautiful, and each has something special about them that might seem very well deserving of a photograph to the man behind the camera, I have to agree with the other posters. While speaking as a male I can say the view is nice, but the images don't showcase anything along the lines of the art that the female nude is capable of. While the two images do tell a story and say something about a particular moment in time - they are much better suited to a personal collection and offer very little contribution to the nudes gallery. At the very least, and on a constructive note, the image did provoke some people. I feel one of the responsibilities of a photograph is to inspire SOMETHING in a viewer, even if it is disgust or hatred. That would be better than a totally uninspiring image... Link to comment
spider71ko 0 Posted September 17, 2006 i'm a beginner at this. your model is nice and the pose isn't bad. the lighting and background need work. good luck. Link to comment
chet_king2 0 Posted September 18, 2006 One, there is a spot on her head - very amaturish; and, second, do you have any shots of this position without the thong? I mean, if you are going to be trashy, you might as well go all the way. Nothing against you personally, there are certainly trashier photos on this web site that people consider "art"; their only difference is that their photographic expertise is better than yours. My point is: if you want to take softporn photos and have them pass as "art", you need to improve your skills as a photographer. CK Link to comment
robert semnic 0 Posted September 18, 2006 it is interesting, how low artistic photo can get so many comments Link to comment
jgalyon 0 Posted May 5, 2007 I'd put my money on the fact that the photographer sought attention...not critiques to improve his craft. Either the guy is just trying to be provocative (which he accomplished), or he's young, rebellious, and has that "in your face" mentality...or he's just clueless/tasteless. I suspect it's "all of the above". Link to comment
jgalyon 0 Posted May 5, 2007 this is proof that Photo.net needs to reinstate the (1) - (7) rating system. I punched in (1)/(1), but of course it shows up 3/3...just wanted it to be clear...i rated it ONE/ ONE. Link to comment
