##Rough and Tough##

Terrific theme fit, PT. Good detail and fantastic DOF for this shot. The green background goes well with the colors of the rope. Very good work.

Good texture, well composed and exposed. Score on all - themefit and execution.

 

Last important thing about an image is missing - to create some emotions, so the viewers would fall in love with it and want to have it at home hanging on the wall.

Nice fit with theme; I also like it that the rope is diagonal through the shot. The green background is complementary to the tan/brown in the rope. Nice work.

I have to agree with the comments above. Great contrast in colors. Diagonal composition is very nice. It seems as though the very center of the rope is out of focus but, with close-up such as this, perfect focus cannot always be achieved. Great sharpness! A very good theme fit. Megan

Rough and tough it is -- good one PT. The composition works and the colors are great. Overall very nice. I was wondering if a composition with the rope in the vertical would be worth trying as well.

nice txture pt... i like the blurred texture in background contrasting with the sharp texturing in close foreground.... the image works very well for me, but i guess there is a little of blur on the bottom right corner... maybe it is more out of DOF rather than blur... you could crop square to avoid the problem.

The eye definately gets drawn first to the upper left cause of sharpness.

I think having the entire rope in focus makes this shot. The textures really stand out this way. I also like how the rope breaks up the frame along the diagonal, great overall composition. Nicely done.

This is a nice shot for the theme. The narrow dof focuses your attention on the subject. Nice detail on the rope. Compositon is nice as well because it divides the space into thirds.

Ah, yes, the violent sharpness is the key factor to the effective simplicity of this total theme-match.
