daverave 1 Posted September 14, 2006 Great place that I see photographed alot, I'll have to get there someday. For the time of day that you were there, it's a good image but obviously waiting a couple of hours would have softened the light some and increased the shadows. But I know how sometimes the timing just isn't right. The only other criticism would be the inclusion of the man-made wall of the overlook on the lower right corner of the shot. Unless there is some intent to provide scale or to contrast the man-made with the natural, which I doubt was the case here, I think it's better to avoid including this wall in this otherwise all-natural landscape. Just my two cents, keep up the good work. Link to comment

dpurfectlight 0 Posted September 14, 2006 Dave, The wall was there to create depth and framimg, hopefully to have a new spin on the overshoot, overfamiliar subject. I believe I have images without the wall also. Thank you for your time and input. Julio, Mucho gracias por commentar. Link to comment
yexie 0 Posted September 15, 2006 Drew, I will have to agree with Dave about the man-made wall, and that will be my only criticism as well. Great job! Link to comment
alecee 0 Posted March 16, 2007 Lovely colors Drew. Is this similar to the Horse Shoe Bend in Page, Utah? Link to comment
dpurfectlight 0 Posted April 4, 2007 Hi Alec, This is in the Canyonland nation park. It's not the Horseshoe Bend in Page. I was looking for the Horseshoe Bend a few years back on my first Utah and AZ trip and end up here instead. Thanks for droping by. Link to comment
