One of the better turd shots I've seen.

i appreciate it my friend... i don't get the low ratings for originality though... i have not seen anyone glorifying the turd on this site as of yet... i think its a fine subject!

Sadly, it's been done, though perhaps not that much in photographs. But I remember it being big news a while back when an artist was applying elephant poo to a crucifix (and collecting tax dollars to do it, which was where the rub came in.)

 

I haven't seen the movie, but I read a comment once that Train Spotters had more poo than any movie ever.

 

I don't have any turd pictures, but do have a roadkill shot and a cigarette butt shot, which are along similar lines. But I find it really difficult to make an unattractive subject into an attractive photograph, and haven't planned to pursue that line of subjects any further. The best application for a shot like this would be to protest geese poop, but that seems not to be the point here.

 

Somewhere around here, I have a book on animal tracks and tracking, which includes detailed descriptions of wild animal scat. I learned dog (and coyote, etc) poo has roundy ends and cat (and mountain lion, etc) poo has pointy ends, among other things.

ah yes... the "who's scat is that?" book... great for the naturalist both young and old.
