solja 0 Posted September 12, 2006 I was recently in NYC and my timing had me there while the remnants of hurricane/tropical storm/tropical depression Ernesto were moving through the area. The wind wasn't much of an issue, but one sidestreet was being hit pretty hard by gusts being funneled between some buildings. I started snapping pics of unsuspecting people carrying their umbrellas being hit by these gusts - I thought this shot was the most interesting. I intentionally went with a slow shutter speed to try to capture the movement of the wind. Did that work? Thoughts? Link to comment
sawicki 0 Posted September 12, 2006 Windy day... I like this unsharpness here and the red in front. Nicely composed. Link to comment
dmo_galleries_chicago_phot 0 Posted September 12, 2006 Great shot. It very nicely documents the diffuculty of walking around in such weather. I like the bent umbrellas--they really communicate how hard the wind is blowing. Link to comment
