Very interesting photo and it definately fits the category of texture. I like the composition, allowing the top and bottom pieces to be joined by the rope adds flow and completeness. I don't have any complaints about this shot, nicely done!

I love this one PT. Both for texture and even outside the theme. Great composition and crop. The perspective showing the hole in the front is very good too. There are textures everywhere. I like the DOF on the second edge also and the tension on the worn out 'rope' holding it. This one could also work very well for a conceptual theme called 'tension' :-) I wouldn't change a thing.

Good Idea PT! Really. The thing i like most here is the non flat approach to the texture concept... generally one thinks about texture like a 2d image, instead here the rope connects 2 parts of the image creating a positively dynamic image.

This is very nice PT. There is a large variety of textures here, all of which are well shown. Although I quite like the monotone, I'd be curious to see the colour version. Would bright colours in the rope detract from the texture? Are the eyelets rusty? Possibly...

A very good approach to the theme PT; Although the image is very simple it is very dynamic. The rope becomes the main subject, and the energy creaded by the diagonal is amplified by the tension in the rope.

 

I like the textures and their contrasts (metal vs fabric) and the graphic of image; technically I would preffer focus that includes the upper ring, and the whole lower ring included.
