Definately like the movement of the outer branches playing against the stronger trunk and limbs. Nice textures throughout.

The slight bit of triangle at the upper left needs to be cropped out. I was also playing around a bit in PS. I burned in the sky highlights just a little so they didn't seem so blown out. I also dodged the highlights in the branches and then burned the midtones and shadows a little in the largest branches. All this gave the photo a bit more contrast and made the detail of the bark stand out better.

Overall a very good photo.

Thanks for your comments already. I didn't do any work to this photo, but Onyo, I would like to see your changes, could you post them please?

This photo was taken during the start of Hurricane Florence - I'm amazed by Canon's image stabalisation system - this was handheld at 1/4sec, and I was being buffeted by wind too! I suppose one day this dead tree will suffer in a hurricane, but for the last 50 years at least it is always the live ones that create the mess of broken branches and bend in every gust!

I had to redo this because I hadn't save the previous version.

Thanks to Stephane for helping me to figure out how to add an image to the comment.

I'm impressed with the shot which I took to be manipulated at first glance.

Onyo's reworked version is an impovement (not to say the original was not good - and the motion blur is very good (adding a fresh meaning to the word texture)).

I like the way the eye is caught going round and round like a tornado.

Now I think I must buy a new camera ... (cant believe 1/4 sec).

But PT please dont reveal too much about gear or location - we need to remain anonymous.

ohh that's nice PT... blurred testures... also i like the use of long exposure to capture motion on branches... very well seen... in my mind this image should be moore "deep" and "moody" (read... lower light higher contrast) or either B/W at all.
