Guest Guest Posted March 7, 2002 I like your work, of work. Something I rarely see photographed. Link to comment
allan engelhardt 0 Posted March 8, 2002 Lovely tonal range, a fine print. I like the way the pipes lead the eye into the picture and ties the three men together. Would it have been better if we had been able to see the level ground?? Link to comment
jgaulke 0 Posted March 8, 2002 Difficult to understand subject of the photo. The two men are looking at each other, but nothing of interest. Perhaps it would have been better to wait until middle man's focus was directed on pipe, would have made a stronger image? Link to comment
charlesshupe 0 Posted March 9, 2002 Depth, texture, leading lines, composition, b&w - all wonderfully synchronized. Link to comment
jeroen wesdorp 0 Posted December 5, 2002 The subject? Duh... You've lent an air of elegance to something as unelegant as industrial pipes. The perspective is great and leads the viewer nicely around the photo. The various layers of sand accentuate the depth and steepness of this trench, so in my view this is better than having the level ground visible. The lack of faces does not bother me in the least. Now they are anonymous, the focus is on the process, not the people. All in all, great and original work! Link to comment
g1 0 Posted March 1, 2003 Great composition with the placement of lines and subjects. The depth of the trench adds substantial dimension. I also rather like the concept of 'teamwork' which this photo clearly conveys. Link to comment
