kahkityoong 0 Posted September 8, 2006 Terrific atmosphere and exposure. How long? No 7 at the moment. Link to comment
newfocus 0 Posted September 8, 2006 Thanks for the comments. I took two exposures - 4 mins for the ground and 30s for the sky, both at f/5.6, ISO100. The exposures were combined with a simple grad in this case rather than anything more fancy. Anything else seemed to destroy the natural beauty of the scene IMO.cheers,John. Link to comment
papasan 0 Posted September 9, 2006 Great shot and great technique. This is a real winner. Congrats Link to comment
seandepuydt 2 Posted September 9, 2006 John, this is really good. To make sure I understand your process on this, you combined 2 shots or you exposed one shot twice? Either way it really worked out well. Excellent image. - Sean Link to comment
newfocus 0 Posted September 9, 2006 Hi Sean, Thanks for the comment. I took the two exposures separately then combined them in PS. cheers, John. Link to comment
carsten_ranke 0 Posted September 9, 2006 Terrific nightshot, clever use of exposure bracketing and composites. The quality of shadow tones and the shining blue haze/mist makes this stand out of the crowd for me. Awesome atmosphere Link to comment
kahkityoong 0 Posted September 10, 2006 Thanks for the technical information. Your composite is seamless. I should also mention the band of soft pink on the horizon nicely divides the 2 parts of the scene. Link to comment
