jnicholson 0 Posted September 8, 2006 You do cool things when you're bored. I like this very much. Is the background water or fabric? Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted September 8, 2006 I am bored to, but not because of your picture. Actually, I'll go and take a walk to the fridge, see what I can find. Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted September 8, 2006 Doug, Thanks a lot. It is an idea that I have had before. Janis, I am glad I could be of some inspiration for you. That flatters me a lot. Allan, Thanks. I think you have said that before. Jamie, Normally when am I bored I do things with cold beer. I am not sure where you get the idea of water for the background. It's actually paper. Thanks for the look and comment. Guillaume, The trick is when you get to the fridge not to eat or drink what you find... photograph it instead. Spencer, Thanks a lot. Link to comment
arnabbanerjee 0 Posted September 8, 2006 Inspiring idea - but lighting is a bit harsh. Well done though Link to comment
jnicholson 0 Posted September 9, 2006 The lighting is what gives us the finer detail of the frost. I don't see it as harsh as much as maybe direct. It works here. David, maybe I had water on the brain. I still think though that it looks somewhat like a body of water on a green surface. All the best. Link to comment
jcmellen 0 Posted September 9, 2006 David...i always enjoy looking at your work, and as usual, this one doesn't disappoint. Excellent detail, very creative. Can honestly say that I've never seen anything like this before, and would have never thought of it myself. As always...well done! Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted September 9, 2006 Pulok, Thanks a lot. I do have other compositions. I may post them later. Arnab, I must admit there is a feeling of harshness when you look at this but if you study it carefully you will see that it isn't really harsh at all. (Me thinks anyway!) Jamie, Thanks again! I wish I had read your comment before I replied to Arnab. Thanks also for the explanation of the 'water' concept that you see. J.C., I am really glad you like this. I do come up with strange ideas sometimes. I believe that is because I am strange. Thanks everyone! Link to comment

DGorinstein 20 Posted April 3, 2012 It was very difficult to pick and comment among your many great images in this portfolio. All of the photos are unique, and therefore inspiring. Thanks for sharing, it certainly opens the horizons of others. That is what I find so great about PN. As I was saying, this image is quite special, and it has obviously attracted many comments before mine. I have nothing to add, except yet another congratulation.DG Link to comment
