joe_wilson 0 Posted March 6, 2002 Any critiques of this style of portrait would really be helpful. Thank you! Link to comment
patrick cook 0 Posted March 6, 2002 I actually prefer the thumbnail of this where the grain isn't apparent Link to comment
yale__ernest 0 Posted March 6, 2002 Really interesting the grain around the shadows of her head ... The dress is a bit too dark in my opinion. Her facial expression is also very interesting, what was she thinking about ?! :) Link to comment
oliver_indra 0 Posted March 6, 2002 She looks worried a little bit, but quite normal for somebody posing in front of a camera the first time. I like the shadow stuff but not the grain. Less contrast would be nice here. But I think you used the wrong stock for this kind of pic.. Link to comment
nick_wellstead 0 Posted March 6, 2002 i like the texture and contrast of the photo. The shadow is a bit too much but its like some of mine. Nick Wellstead Link to comment
joe_wilson 0 Posted March 6, 2002 in the original, there is actually pretty good contrast between the dress (actually sweater) and the shadow. I just can't get it to be apparent unless I view it in photoshop. Any suggestions? Link to comment
latham_portous 0 Posted March 8, 2002 Joe. To be honest I find that for a portrait style shot the shadow is a little overwhelming and dominates. If that's what you want it's OK but then the shadow needs to be more interesting in order to be a reasonable subject. Link to comment
