The best portrait shots are the relaxed ones!

These two images are fantastic as a pair - I can't think of one without the other - clearly seeing two sides of this fellow.

There is actually a third in this series. I have had them displayed as a triptych at home before.

 

I will do my best to get the third up and on Display.

 

The subject is my dad and the beach is his "place".

I really like this photo for its casual air. I really feel like this man is not only happy, but also wet! I think the emotion comes through well at any rate. Very good feeling photo!

What I liked about this shot, is that it captures what I love about my dad. It seems that you saw some of that. That is a true compliment. Thank you.

this is beautiful, especially the texture around his eyes. you can tell your father spends a lot of time smiling. :)

Very nice photojournalistic shot. I feel as though I can read the history of this man within this image. The back and white works well for this.

I love this picture. The combination of the asymmetries and the warm smile makes this a beautiful portrait. The square format and the placement of the horizon really work, too.
