Photo taken with a Contax IIIa using the built in Selenium meter. I was panning rather quickly. Photo cropped by me and color by Mr. Fuji Frontier.

Taken with a Contax IIIa and 35mm Biogon, they are older then me.

Metered with the original Seleniium meter. I was panning as fast as

I could move my creaking back.

The photo is dead in p.net terms, but I was surprised at the low originality ratings.

How many photos are there on p/net of a Brasilian Vaquechada taken with a 50 year old rangefinder? I guess the nest time I'll PS in some big tits.

Michael, this is a great shot! This image, in my opinion, would have done better rating wise if you would have done a little cropping. The image is too centered in my opinion but I love it. The guy leaning on his horse with his hand around the its neck and the leaping bull are as good as it gets. The colors work nicely together also. You done good!

Ah yea i wasnt sure what it was about the pic. Great action shot but something was missing. I think cropping it would do wonders.

Hi Tim and Mathew, thank you for taking teh time to comment.

I have lost the original One-Hour Photo scan, but have an older cropped thumb in the flotsam of my hard drive. I have no idea where it came from, the photo was 3 laptops ago.

I think I am also suffering from pixel envy shooting a 65 year old 35mm film camera.

You are right about the crop, the thumb was cropped and quick fixed in Elements.

Thanks again guys~md

Michael, you are nuttier than I am, didn't think that was possible! It's a great shot! Cropped, juiced up a bit, and then printed by a good printer, you would have an image of importance in my opinion. Do you still have the negative stashed somewhere? If I thought I had a negative that was this good stashed away I would tear my house apart to find it.

So, Michael, this is the kind of picture I can expect from my *new* Contaflex Super, huh? I can't wait for the summer to chase some cows. :-)

This picture is remarkable given the *responsiveness* of the camera. Let me take that back. It's a great picture. You are right.. the cow would have be in Mexico by the time I'm ready for the shutter. I think I prefer the original post over the cropped version.

I often take low PN ratings as a badge of honor. And that's especially true because I only have a passing interest in tits!

Saw your interest in the Street/Doc PUB that Ton has been instrumental in putting together. I've been one of the instigators as well, and thought I'd check out your portfolio. This really stood out to me as an excellent shot. What really draws me in here is the combination of that feeling that you've stopped time and stopped action but also preserved a lot of the sense of movement. The way the back legs of the darker horse fade out of the picture and the way the smoke seems to rise from the sand really suggests not only movement but a whole other layer of storytelling, of which this photo has much. I also really like the soft color palette you've maintained which seems to enhance the intensity of the action. Aside from catching a great moment, when faces, eyes, hands, and tension, seem all in alignment, your approach to this on photographic terms is incredibly effective. Very nicely done.

I don't comment on many photos here on PN, but this one clearly falls into the "I wish I had taken it" category. Very nicely done!
