I was actually shooting vertically as I planned on pasting together many shots for a panorama with one of the many stitching programs available. I think I may have stumbled on a good idea, however, as this IMHO is superior to a panorama. Link to comment

leif_rudd 0 Posted March 10, 2002 very nice shot. somehow you preserved the detail in the shadows w/o a gradient nd filter. i'm impressed...mine like that end up muddy. ps, when i was there a few months ago, i saw that white structure at the bottom of the canyon but never found out what it is. do you know?
