I love the shadows! I would have moved the sign before shooting. YES, I have done such things many times!

This is so good that there must be a way to perfect it. Here's my thought which can be accomplished just by cropping. ;)

I am also thinking Uli might be right about B&W. Shawn, you are right about how to deal with signs. I've also had the case where I tried to move a sign into the picture. At the Continental Hotel in Kabul last year, there was a sign similiar to this restroom sign on the edge of incoming driveway. It read, "No Firearms Allowed Inside Hotel". I picked it up and moved several feet next to the front door of the hotel to create a photo opp. I was quickly surrounded by three goons with AK-47's who didn't share my sense of aethetics!

Thank you Uli, Shawn and Jim. I was just happy to get this shot without a tourist walking in or out of the restroom. But yes, I should have moved the sign, even though it may have caused some problems. Had to laugh about your experience, Jim, and I love your crop suggestion. :)
