Awesome! I like how you can't see all of the figurine. Leaves you wondering. I absolutly love this shot, but... I don't believe that this is the best representation of negative space. I think if you zoomed out more and left quite a bit more white around the shadow, that it would make a very nice negative space abstract. Just my opinion. Megan

I like the mysterious nature of the composition and the gradual change in the contrast as one goes from right to left. The fit to the theme is fine with me.

I like the photo and theme fit is fine.

I have more of question than a criticism. Being new to studio lighting I wonder if you could move the light, change the type of light or add another to make the entire shadow edge sharp? Then it would be difficult to tell the shadow from the figure.

Thanks PTs. One of the disadvantages of posting photos at the very end -- forgetting to reply. Sorry Onyo, for the very late reply. This wasn't really 'studio lighting', just a tall and flexible reading lamp. white balance set at incandescent in the camera. I am not that familiar with studio lighting to answer you with confidence, but I've seen some studio lighting shots and noticed that the shadows do get 'softer' at the end. I suppose it is due to diffraction of light. I am not sure if that can somehow be off-set by any lighting technique.
