clayton_hall 0 Posted August 29, 2006 hi michael i'm just an amatuer myself and my photos are FAR from perfect, but i am learning to love portraits and this is very alluring woman with tons of photographic potential. here's my two cents for what it's worth... try to get a little more creative with your angle (this looks as if the camera and her face are at equal or near-equal levels). i think the clothing is distracting, in terms of the colors/pattern, not that she has it on per se, so see if you can have her choose something more subtle next time. lastly, i wouldve tightened up the shot quite a bit and filled the frame up much more with her face. she has stunning facial features, so why back off so far? especially since she seems very comfortable with the camera trained on her. one other thing: try to experiment some with lighting. if you want to emphasize some of her features but don't have a studio you could try a window shot with you targeting her from the side. some subtle shadows could really bring out her already beautiful features. best of luck! clayton Link to comment
