Love the composition, lighting and the subject. Looks like a great illustration for a mystery novel cover .

 

It does look like a composite photo though. Notice how the light strikes the crow on the left but the trees in the background are lit from the right.

 

Photoshop is my darkroom and if a photo can be improved by manipulating it, , go for it!
