After two hours on a gray and very thundery beach, the sun broke

through as it hit the horizon, and we were treated to a

fantastically vivid and red light show for about ten minutes. Nature

really can come up trumps sometimes if your willing to sit it out

when it looks like absolutely nothing is going to happen!

Beatifull closed frame, movement indeed not just beacause the dynamisme of water but lines and light give mouvement too, the bad thing about this kind of shots it is a problem that i have too in some of my works and don?t know how to correct; even with the color lines movement lights it still resulting a bit lifeless.

Saying that this is a "nice" shot sounds like an insult to the photographer that sat there patiently waiting for what might hav been likely to happen. And then, the photographer, through his obvious skills, got this fantastic image.

Prove that, apart from knowing how to use a camer, the photographer has got the artistry to compose well and the good use of another essential photographic tool: patience.

Well done!

I know what it takes to get such images. And I feel insulted when someone, obviously ignorant of what it takes to get such a great image like yours, just get by with a despondent "it's nice".

I'm going to upload - in a matter of minutes (the time to check levels and prepare its size for photo.net) a picture I took a year ago). I was up well before sunrise and drove my car some 80 kms through local small roads because I wanted to get a photo of a castle I hadn't yet seen but knew was formidable. For me the raising sun light was of the essence. I was quite rewarded. Got there on time!

Phil, this to me is one of your best efforts. The composition is dead on imo, the colors and dramatic sky knock this out of the park. Congrats - Sean
