I'm glad I finally came to take a look at your portfolio, you have some exquisite work in here! And thanks for taking the time to comment on one of my recent photos.

I can't help but wonder 2 things looking at your work, the first is are you shooting Nikon gear? The reason I ask this is the colours, there's a definite feel to nikon digital iamges IMHO.

The second is about your toning techniques, I'm really quite intrigued by them as they add a palpable atmosphere to many of your photos (or perhaps suitably enhance what is there) - any tips for a relative newcomer?

PS, if you're ever round 'Uddersfield let me know we can go for a pint and take some pictures.

you produce some very original and inspirational work. I know I can learn alot from your posts.

I particularily like the composition here and the use of the square format.

Thanks for the comments. The basis of the technique here's the same one I described in the comments on this other photo here. A pretty simple tweak when you know it, but it can be handy in the right circumstances.

I shoot with Canon gear by the way, so any similarity with the Nikon look's a pure coincidence.
