jmoody 0 Posted August 17, 2006 Sun finally started to come out & made this side like an oven (from the reflection) tried to capture the brilliance of the sun (before my hair caught fire and my camera melted in my hands that is :-) Also tried to darken the sky as much as possible w/circ polarizer. Thoughts? Sky too dark? Composition strange? Thanks to any and all who stop by Link to comment
barthurk 0 Posted August 17, 2006 Alone, it may be too dark, but taken in context with some of your other shots of Gehry buildings, it works quite well. I like the strong contrast and deep colors. Link to comment
jmoody 0 Posted August 17, 2006 Thanks Brian (any relation to Lenny? (I know, it's spelled differently). Hard to believe the ratings are what they are (so far). No where's near my favorite (though for unknown reasons it is my wife's) yet so far so good. Link to comment
bretsch 0 Posted August 17, 2006 Your wife is on to something Jeff ;) Again, great composition; although I would have lighten the sky area at least 1/3 step. Link to comment
jmoody 0 Posted August 17, 2006 Good lord man, edit your message! What if my wife reads this? Now she's going to think that she's always right :-) Thanks again for the visit. Glad I posted it Link to comment
kentb2 0 Posted August 18, 2006 Jeff the ratings are well deserved. The contrast is excellent. I think it adds to the mood of the image. That slight gold cast to the metal reflection is great. If anything I would barely dodge the highlights only in the clouds (barely). Link to comment
alexguerra 0 Posted August 20, 2006 Great abstract. Darkening the sky was a good option to enhance the contrast with the shining building. The only thing I'd touch here would be to burn down a little bit the lower portion of the FG building which in my screen seems to be a tad overexposed. Other than that, the flowing lines do rest into making this shot a really eye-catching one. Cheers, Alex Link to comment
alberto.conde 0 Posted August 20, 2006 Excellent shot. I agree. Your wife is right (they always are, mind you). And what is hard to believe is that couple of 3's you got! Ratings are useless in photo.net Link to comment
