What a great shot! I love the angle, and the action. That is a great lens, the image is crisp and colorful. What did this guy score?

The rider was thrown about half a second after the horse landed here...the anouncer had said that this 6 year old had never been riden and the rider thought that this would be the day....hardest 1 second ride I have ever seen.

You couldn't have timed it any better. I think a less distracting background might have made this an even better shot, but with such fast action, that was well beyond your control.

You captured this one well. Would have liked to see a smaller DOF to focus everything on the rider and the horse - as the background is slightly distracting. But as I've never come close to this kind of a shot maybe just ignore that comment. Great shot.

 

Your folders show some nice PJ work capturing some decisive and clever moments.
