lusobrandane 0 Posted August 16, 2006 Reflections of the sky captured in the still waters of the loch. Any constructive criticism of any aspect of this image is more than welcome. Link to comment
dominickite 0 Posted August 16, 2006 The photo jumped out at me from the thumbnail, I hadn't even realised it's one of yours! Visually I think it?s absolutely stunning - you?re going to have to spend some time guiding me round my own country soon as you find such great spots to shoot from! Technically I?ve just the one main suggestion - the reflection is brighter than the sky itself, which one of the lectures I went to at the club laboured to point out isn?t something you should see. So I?d either darken the reflection, but personally I?d boost the brightness of the sky, which should also lift the darkness of the clouds without losing any of that nice contrast? Helpful? lusobrandane 0 Posted August 16, 2006 Hi Dominic... all constructive criticism helps. Lightening the sky very quickly blows out the clouds - they lose a lot of detail. I will try darkening the reflection - but please note that this isn't a composite PS creation, this is more or less what the camera saw. Link to comment
lusobrandane 0 Posted August 19, 2006 I have done as Dominic suggested and have posted the altered image here http://www.pbase.com/image/65375573 I think Dominic was correct. Thanks, Dom. Link to comment
